CHOZA sleeveless blazer - Cactus leather

Te introducimos nuestro CHOZA sleeveless blazer, el cual se viene desarrollando de mi volumen II "From the end of the world" que fue hecho en un principio con cuero vinílico no animal biodegradable. Ahora, seguimos con esa propuesta pero la elevamos a tal punto, que decidimos desarrollar de nuevo (también está presente en el volumen III "En tránsito") pero en cuero vegetal, específicamente de cactus (nopal), exportado de Guadalajara, México. Este CHOZA blazer es sin lugar a dudas un statement piece de la firma Guido Vera. Fiel a su compromiso a inicios del 2016, perseguir una moda sustentable, no animal y libre de género.

Acerca de Desserto - Piel de nopal:

La plantación de la que extraen el nopal para sus productos se encuentra en el estado de Zacatecas, en la región centro norte del país. Allí seleccionan y cortan solo las hojas maduras de la planta sin dañarla, con lo que aproximadamente cada seis u ocho meses vuelven a cosechar en la misma plantación, libre de herbicidas y pesticidas. El material que no se utiliza para el producto es vendido para consumo humano a nivel nacional.

El cactus crece solo con el agua de lluvia, además esta familia soporta las bajas temperaturas durante el invierno y tiene espinas más pequeñas, por lo que es más fácil y seguro a la hora de cosechar.

Después de cortar las hojas maduras, estas se secan al sol durante tres días hasta alcanzar los niveles de humedad deseados. No es necesario ningún horno ni ningún tipo de energía adicional, como el gas, en este proceso. Una vez procesada, se obtiene la materia prima orgánica con la fórmula patentada, Desserto.

We introduce our CHOZA sleeveless blazer, which has been developed from my volume II "From the end of the world" which was originally made with biodegradable non-animal vinyl leather. Now, we continue with that proposal but we raised it to such a point that we decided to develop again (it is also present in volume III "In transit") but in vegetable leather, specifically cactus (nopal), exported from Guadalajara, Mexico. This CHOZA blazer is undoubtedly a statement piece by Guido Vera. True to its commitment at the beginning of 2016, to pursue a sustainable, non-animal and gender-free fashion.

About Desserto - Nopal Skin:

The plantation from which they extract the nopal for their products is located in the state of Zacatecas, in the north-central region of the country. There they select and cut only the mature leaves of the plant without damaging it, so that approximately every six or eight months they harvest again in the same plantation, free of herbicides and pesticides. The material that is not used for the product is sold for human consumption nationwide.

The cactus grows only with rainwater, in addition this family supports low temperatures during winter and has smaller spines, making it easier and safer when harvesting.

After cutting the mature leaves, they are dried in the sun for three days to reach the desired humidity levels. No oven or any additional energy, such as gas, is necessary in this process. Once processed, the organic raw material is obtained with the patented formula, Desserto.
