We introduce this new piece GV pre VOL III: CAMELIDA open high neck top inspired by the animal that could save Patagonia. The piece is not animal, it is 100% synthetic synthetic hair to wear and it is dry-cleaned or steam only.
A garment inspired by a species that can combat desertification.
Camelid experts emphasize that guanacos not only adapt to a soil with little water. They also help stop desertification.
"The guanaco, having pads on its fingers, has less impact on the ground and therefore preserves grasslands better than sheep and their hooves," explained Ricardo Baldi, researcher at the Patagonian National Center.
"They are also more efficient at feeding because they better digest dry grasses, recycle nitrogen better and therefore consume less food," he added.
Also their way of eating is more "ecological": they cut the grass instead of plucking it (like sheep), which allows it to regenerate faster.
